  2. I think that he didn't take his first one seriously beacuse he thought it was just anohter city and just another guy hiring in for a couple of weeks. He was one of the few people that he cared about on his journey. Also I think that just in case somehting happened to him they could inform his parents.

  3. I feel as though Chris took the second one seriously because he wes close to Wayne. He was good friends with Wayne and didn't want to lie to him. Chris also needed the money this time and trusted Wayne with the information. Chris did not take the first one seriously because it was not someone he knew or a job he cared deeply about.

  5. Chris most likely took the second W-4 more seriously because of a greater appreciation for his own situation. At the time of the first application, Chris was still in his rather wayward phase, and had little direction. He realized he would leave the place soon and was still full of his antiestablishment fervor from the initial launch of his odyssey. At the time of the second he had a direction, Alaska. It was probably Chris’s determination to reach Alaska that made him take all the steps leading to that goal so seriously.

  6. I think that Chris was more serious about his second one because by this time, he trusted Wayne. He also had more knowledge about what he was doing. He needed more money and Wayne was his good friend and he didn't want to be fake to him.

  7. I believe that the fact that Chris trusted him with his personal information enough not to tell his parents on the second time. I believe he told him the false information the first time because he was not yet comfortable with his surrounding people, including Wayne. Another factor that may have played a role in his telling of his true information was that Wayne was one of the very few people that Chris met along his journey that he truly cared about.

  8. I believe Chris took the second one more seriously because he was close and trusted Wayne. He knew his information wouldn’t get out and that Wayne wouldn’t try to contact his parents or anyone else about this. The first one was for a guy he barely knew and didn’t want to leave a trace of anywhere he had been. Also, he probably didn’t even take the first one seriously because it was just for a short period of time and didn’t need the money as much as the second time around.

  9. Chris probably didnt fill out the first form with the correct information because he didnt think it would make a difference on account of the fact that he probably wouldnt stay long enough for it to matter. But the second time, he had a new understanding of Wayne and he trusted him. I think he trusted him to not report him or disclose any information that Chris wouldnt want others to know.

  10. I think that he filled out the first one thinking that it wouldn't really matter much. Even if he did put legit information. I think that the second time he filled it out he had a new respect for Wayne and he trusted him. I think he felt like he knew Wayne would keep what Chris did not want others to know a secret.

  11. I believe that when Chris filled out his second W-2 form for work, that he put all real information in as opposed to his 1st one, because he knew Wayne a lot better through out the time that he worked there. Wayne and Chris developed a close relationship during the time that Chris had worked for Wayne. I think Chris felt safe with Wayne knowing all of his information, he trusted Wayne, and if anything had ended up happening to him, Wayne would have his information to help the police find Chris or identify who he was.

  12. Chris didn't take the first one seriously because he didn't care about the job or the person. But when he filled out the second one he knew and trusted Wayne. Chris probably took the second one more seriously because he needed the money for his Alaskan journey and he knew he could trust WAyne because of the relationship they had together.
