He was affected so much because he gave him a ride. They took pictures, Alex with his camera and Franz with camcorder. Ronald thought that he was prepared, because he had artic chlothes, rice, and money with him.
ReplyDeleteI believe he was so affected because of how Chris got a ride from him. Chris had a camera with him that took pictures, Ronald brought his camcoder, i believe that was also why Ronald was so affected by Chris. They both took an interest in that which drew Ronald closer to Chris. Ronald thought that Chris was very well prepared for his journey. He was in shock when he found out Chris died, and interested to find out what the cause of his death was.
ReplyDeleteFranz was so deeply affected by Chrs's brief visit because Chris reminded him of the son he had lost tragicly in a car accident. Chris pulled Framz from the dark void that he had fallen into due to the despair caused by losing his wife and child with his outgoing personality and contagious smile. "When Franz met McCandless, his long-dormant paternal impulses were kindled anew. He couldn't ge the young man out of his mind." pg.50.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Franz was affected to this extent by Chris because for one they spent so much time together. Franz saw that Chris was very intelligent. He cared enough for Chris to tell him that he needed to get an education and them him that he should be living much better than he was. Of course, Chris told him that this living style of his was his choice and that he had, had a college education. Franz was inspired to quit drinking cold turkey. He was inspired by Chris to live in the wild for a period of time with Chris. They developed a friendship. Franz loved Chris' kindness. Franz almost considered Chris a son, because of the relationship they had and Chris filled the missing spot where his children and wife used to be
ReplyDeleteRonald Franz was effected by Chris extremely. When Chris told Ronald he way of life he wasa frankly inspired. Ronald envied Chris's freedom in his life and soul. Also how close he was to nature, Ronald thought that he should strengthen his relationship with nature. Chris had a camera and camcorder and showed ROnald thats why he was so effected. Mark D
ReplyDeleteRonald Franz was this effected by Chris very deeply. This is because Ronny was inspired by Chris' way of life. Chris was a free person and did not have a lot of worries. Chris told Ronny that he should go out and backpack even at his old age. Ronny listened to Chris, and Chris never knew what he did for the man. Ron thought that Chris was prepared for the journey because of the winter jacket and rice. Ronny was deeply troubled when he found out that Chris had died, and when Ronny found out, he started to drink again.

Chris took action and went for what he wanted. Ronald was inspired by him and wanted the same simple life Chris was retrieving.
ReplyDeleteFranz was effect by Chris because of his innate paternal instinct the book talks about. Franz worries for Chris and even tries to give him money. He simply wants to help this boy who came into his life. Franz may find Chris’s lifestyle odd he gives his decisions respect. Something we learn, Chris’s parents never did.

He was affected by Chris because not only did he give him a ride but they got to knowing each other and they seemed to have the same views. Franz also thought that Chris was welled prepared. They also took pictures together. Chris used his camera and Franz used his camcorder.
ReplyDeleteRonald Franz was so affected by Chris McCandles was because he reminded Franz of having a son. Franz desired to feel that connection with another person. Also they showed the same views because they both have a form of keeping memories. That's why he felt kinda quilty when he heard that he had died because he would have given him supplies to survive.
ReplyDeleteChris effected Ronald Franz so much because he was inspired at Chris's attitude towords life. Chris was carefree and without worries and Franz admired that. Also Chris reminded Franz of the son that he lost in a car accident along with his wife. Chris got Ronald to stop drinking durring his short visit but when he heard about the death of Chris he fell back into old ways.
